Lee Daly is co-founder of THE BRAINPOWER PROJECT and currently serves as President and Executive Director. In 1998 when her daughter, Alexandra, was diagnosed with CCM, Lee became a full-time advocate for Alexandras health care. Since the doctors always gave Lee conflicting views as to the treatment and care of people with CCM, she decided to be proactive. Her intuitions about her daughters malformation intrigued the medical community. At first, the doctors did not associate Alexandras symptoms with certain activities despite the suspected bleeds being confirmed by MRI or CT scan. Lee soon established credibility after having proved repeatedly that her suspicions were correct about certain activities causing symptoms in Alexandra. After four years of personal observation and documentation, Lee has provided insight into establishing a higher level of care for people with this abnormality. These observations have helped doctors provide critical information to other parents whose children have been diagnosed with vascular malformations.
Lees dedication to this cause shines forth every day as it has since 1998 when Alexandra was diagnosed, and Lee continues to fight to put CCM on the map. Her passion and determination have brought together an incredible team of advisors who have dedicated themselves to helping THE BRAINPOWER PROJECT succeed as they share the common goal of expediting the cure.
Lee lives with her husband and three children in the Los Angeles area.
