In the United States alone, 1.5 million people, or 1 in 200, are estimated to have CCM. This translates to approximately 0.5%. Approximately 20-30% of the diagnoses are made to children. 60% of the adults are diagnosed in their 20’s and 30’s. It is estimated that 20 million or so people worldwide have some kind of vascular malformation.
